Cry Freedom
rhythm
swaying on the dance floor
your arms enveloping
protecting
hands exploring
lips touching
anticipating
slow electrification
Thoughtful syncopation
resonating
Bodies entwine
Veil of smoke
concealing
stolen moments
This piece of music reminded me of the old school disco’s I used to attend at school, and also for a strange reason (random tangent) the way my ex husband looked at me on our wedding day. please don’t ask what goes on in my brain when I listen to music….but this is what I came up with. nice…thanks for sharing those moments in time too as i get that…songs have that way of taking us there…great verse too…lots of feeling…esp that last stanza….
Thanks Brian. Cool feature!
Really really like slow electrification & stolen moments.
from
“Cry freedom”
to “conealing
stolen momments”
we are taken on a ride
of love
and passion
on through to
quiet embrace.
a very nice ride indeed.

Music does have a way of bringing up memories good or bad. You did a great job capturing the old school disco feel. Thank you for sharing.
Enjoyed how this piece moved and swayed. Wonderful.
Thoughtful syncopation… such is the best part of a slow dance, especially when anticipation leads to further closeness. Great write!
Thanks Adam, last time I slow danced I was 14 and got a peck on the cheek!…how times have changed 😉
OH MY GOD is all I can say here 🙂
I could come to so many conclusions from oh my god … Lol
oh i liked the “cry freedom, cry rhythm..” sounds wild…
i like this one…veil of smoke concealing stolen moments adds a great punch of sexy – awesome ending!
love the ‘Cry Freedom’ and ‘veil of smoke concealing stolen moment’
wonderful take on the prompt!
You create a great mood. I can feel the smokey room, and I’m dancing to the music. Great response to the prompt.
A gentle hook, followed by the riff, and and then improvisation. Solid.

I was thinking along the same lines…it also reminded me of a John Hughes brat pack movie soundtrack. Loved those movies
Brilliant, Shan! Immediately took me back to the night when I met the love of my life. Magic happened on the dance floor and we were together from that moment on until he died. Thank you for leading me to such a happy memory and reexperiencing the magic, if only for a few moments. Love you. ♥
readig this was fun
